Vanden Hurk goes down tomorrow, we call up another reliever for the game, then Rick comes back up

all without leaving the stadium!

Tank?

He's the only guy in Jupiter who'd make sense...(since proximity is an issue).

It's a tie game, we could conceivably need 5 or 6 from the pen.

To say nothing of game 2.

yeah but then you cant use them for the next game, which would leave you shorthanded..

by sending hurk down, you have an extra arm.

Rick would have to stay at the stadium for 10 days per MLB rule

Unless the recall is in the event of an injury.

Or in this case "injury."

Injury as in placing a player on the DL

BTW, think Lindstrom will re-start the game?

I would have lindstrom restart the game. I believe that we will at least begin with uggla-cabrera-jake.

Yeah, I'd assume Lindstrom would get the restart with the rest but then not be availabe for game 2.

Secondly, if Tank's ready you could DL or DFA Julio, or DL Wood (whoever's getting demoted). Otherwise whoever comes up from Jupiter gets DL'd to bring back Vanden Hurk.

and it doesn't matter...Vander Hurk has been used, so unless one of your unused pitchers gets hurt, your SOL since this is game 1 part 2 pretty much...

this is NOT a new game.

Or we send Mitre out and hope for a quick end, so that he can go out 20 minutes later like it was a long inning for the offense.

Not happening. You only pitch him 1 inning in that scenario, and then what happens if the game is extended? He is on the bench for an extended period of time and has to warm up all over again.

20 minutes is like batting around. I am not recommending it, but the bullpen is toasted.

Well, could a "mental" injury count. (Julio).
