Go look up his minor league numbers.

This is a fluke.

I remember Hanley wasn't so great in the minors, look at him now.

The defense shouldnt be a surprise. Except for Eckstein, the NL central is a melting pot of excellent defensive SS.

I know guys that played several seasons with him and they are all shocked at the season he's having so far. NOBODY saw this coming and it will not last. He'll be a perennial all-star eventually, but he won't be an A-Rod.

The highest level he played in was AA and hit .310 and .271 and a combined 11 homers also with a combined 67 rbi's in two years. Though he was noted as a 5 tool player and a top prospect, his numbers weren't off the charts or indicative of what he's done in the majors.

He was also like a little kid when he produced those numbers

Remember when Chris Shelton won the AL MVP last year?
Yes, I was at his HOF induction as well.

Didn't he wind up in the minors by the end of the year?

Yep, he wasn't even on the post-season roster.

Talking about MVPs and such in May is fun but when it boils down to it, it is pretty useless.
