Are you serious???

That's an institution, like Pirates of the Caribbean or It's a Small World.

I remember when the lines used to be hours long. :(

Its outdated, unfortunately. I went on it last year and it really didn't have a magical feel to it...I kinda felt bad because it was lagging behind the other newer rides. It would be cool if they installed more technological simulators, but I assume it will be a completely different theme?

Agreed. Pirates and Small World are actually terrible rides, but they have been there so long everyone likes to ride them. I have probably been on Pirates 20-25 times.

supposedly one of the names being thrown around to replace the back to the future ride is the fast and the furious. Universal holds the rights to that trilogy as well and the transition would be easy and cheap but possibly the lamest move ever

that would be a terrible replacement. In 5 years no one will even remember any of the movies.

That sucks. I've never been to Universal and I've always wanted to ride that.

My older brother was actually in Orlando on business and he and his girlfriend went to Universal and rode it just this past week.

I liked that ride a lot, especially since I love the movie.

Come on you know they are terrible. The reason everyone likes them is because they have been there for 25 years. I remember going every year since I was like 4 years old. I used to love going on Mr. Toads ride, but that was really crappy as well. Sadly they closed it.

Did they close 20,000 leagues under the sea?

Over a decade ago.

And there's no way in hell you can call Pirates terrible, unless you also eat babies.

haha I didnt realized it closed. I actually never went on it. Every time I would go, there was a huge line.

Pirates is in fact terrible. However I still love it. But its hasnt changed in 20 years (with the exception of changing on of the pirates faces). The movie success that the pirates movies have assures that they will never close the ride.
