Fish bites: While Jason Wood and John Gall are each candidates for the final position player spot on the roster, the Marlins may look at other options. A name worth watching is infielder Todd Walker, released Monday by the Padres.




I can see this guy doing what Helms did last year

Except he hits left handed and has demonstrated he has a seriously difficult time playing anywhere other than the right side of the infield.

im sure the padres had a reason to cut him. for that same reason, florida shouldnt bother, and they wont anyway. the roster is set. good thought though.

they dropped him cause he wasn't worth 4 milion.

in baseball, it's guaranteed money

although in this case, the Padres won't get saddled with the whole thing, unless the MLBPA makes a fuss about it, which I bet they will (and should)
