Good. Let's see if he can figure out in the minors what he did in his first appearance (*cough* throw strikes early *cough*).

That's a good decision for Marlins & Hurk.
Hurk must keep a practice in minor.
If Marlins Not sending him, Hurk's baseball career will dameged.

So, Who's next pitcher as 5th starter until Nolasco's back?
Gaby? Ungs? George? Delgado?

Field??
Absolutly, He was a reliver-type guy.

So, we will turn to 4-man rotation, until Nolasco's back?

There's no way George is ready, Gaby isn't either and Ungs is a reliever. Field started 2 games in AAA in 2002 and won both. If we didn't have an off day, it should've been Field.

But thats irrelevant.

and Ungs is a reliever.

Not really. While he has more relief appearances this year so far, he is a career starter...133 GS compared to 17 relief appearances.

He threw a no hitter in AA in 2005.

im kinda confused as to why hurk has taken such a quick decline in effective strike throwing pitching. his first game he was stellar...striking out the side at one point. what happened with the mets and now the braves?

First, he was being squeezed. Second, he was trying to place his pitches and he is not going to get calls. Sort of like a rookie hazing by the ump.

We are obviously going to be down a starter the entire year. We need to figure this out, and stop calling up the Fields, Tylers, and Hurks of this world.

Really? Why are umps allowed to do that? i mean...practically our whole staff is is either on their first or second year. This "hazing affects our record and team morale...i don't think that's right. It's either a ball or a strike dammit!! At least keep the zone the same for both teams!

There is no hazing. Maybe he didnt get some questionable calls, but he was throwing the rest of his pitches right down the middle of the plate. Besides a few innings in his first start, he has been garbage.

I haven't checked the Marlins web site yet, but who's going on the 60 day DL or getting outrighted off the Marlins 40 man roster? They were at 40 with the purchase of Obermueller.
