because radke retired, and liriano is out for a while

they are just trying to see if they can catch lightning in a bottle from these guys

Because there are at least 1,629 innings to be thrown next season, and they can't afford to have a repeat of the Liriano situation.

They have a young staff with possible injuries, it doesnt hurt to get some vets in there.. sh*t I thought the Ortiz signing was a smart one

No wonder the Twins need the extra pitching! They are playing 181 games next year!

I think that above number was an average for the amount of innings used in the AL. Don't forget, there is no such thing as a tie, there are extra inning games and the remaing innings probably included the playoffs as well.
