SoFlaFish
Charlie Hough Jeff Conine Bret Barberie Darrell Whitmore You are aware that Darrell Whitmore was not on the 25 man roster on Opening Day 1993, right? The starting RF for the Marlins on that day was Junior "Adventures in Outfielding" Felix. Whitmore got called up later in the season after the Sheffield trade. sheff#1
yea hes prob trying to prove he knows about the marlins by naming 4 of the more obvious players or players he remembers.want a cookie?
Guest markotsay7
Dude...why does everyone attack people on this board? If I was an outsider I'd be appalled at this stuff. Rferry was just naming players, I mean, at least he wasn't wishing season-long injury on a player just because he doesn't like him. I'd bet you didn't even know Whitmore wasn't on the opening day roster. And how are Barberie and Whitmore some of the more obvious guys from the opening day roster, assuming one is not a "true fan?" Hough and Conine sure, how about Magadan or Rapp or Destrade or Santiago? Any one of those are more recognizable than Barberie or Whitmore. rferry
I had no idea Whitmore wasn't on the 25-man at the start of the season. Then again I'm just a bandwagon fan who hopped on last fall. Actually I included Whitmore because I thought some would consider it funny that some of my favorite players from the inaugural season were all white. Whitmore is the first that came to mind to break up that trend. :unsure :
Willie "Mays" Hayes
Whitmore is the first that came to mind to break up that trend. :unsure : hehe whitmore? how can you forget bout chucky C? http://smilies.jeeptalk.org
