Hutton and Kasper mentioned that TJ was going to be playing a few different guys over the weekend. Jack said he felt it was important for the bench players to get some AB's over the first week of the season. He wants to keep them sharp. Don't be surprised to see Easley make a start this weekend as well.

Nothing wrong with loading up the righties against Milton.

Cordero hit .324 against lefties last year, Choi hit .059 (in 17ABs). That is a no brainer and to be expected. You have to play Cordero though and keep him sharp. The guy can hit. Funny though how Jack says he doesnt go with stats, but here he certainly considers it. Eventually, you have to give Choi ABs against lefties though in order to develop him as a hitter. But for now, this is a smart move and I want to see us take the series against the over-rated Phillies. Yes, overrated.

Youve got to keep the bench guys fresh, and this year, we can do that by inserting Cordero, Easley, and Nunez hopefully without really hurting the lineup. McKeon said Cordero would start at first on Friday and possibly in the outfield on Saturday. He also said Easley will likely play second one game this weekend and Abraham Nunez might get a start against the Phillies.
