Accord
Hey guys, i'm looking to join an adult baseball league in South Florida. I've done a lot of research and all I could find were SOFTball leagues and not baseball leagues. I don't want to join anything serious like a lower level minor league thing with tryouts or anything, just a casual adult mens league that plays once or twice a week and things like that. I live right in north Broward county so basically anything from South Broward county to North Palm Beach county would be perfect, anything in Dade county is too far away. It seems like there are tons of adult softball leagues but no adult baseball leagues. Again, I don't want anything too serious and frankly i'm not all that good, lol. I'm in a tricky situation, because i'm just barely too old (almost 19) to join a youth league and i'm not good enough to join the team at my college and things like that. Thanks BTW, I posted this in the off-topic forum but I only got like 2 responses and i'm really desperate to find a league, so if this is in the wrong forum I apologize. GiambiNYY25Fan
When I played last year at Sugarsand Park, every Sunday morning they would have an adult baseball game on the field next to where I'd practice... they were throwing hard, not softball, I'm not sure if it remains today but you can try looking up Sugarsand Park in the phone book... its in Boca Raton
QuickGold
Good luck. I'm trying to find a summer league here in Brooklyn and unless you have a team formed, it's pretty hard.

Guest Juanky
Yeah, anything for 18 and over that is real baseball would be awesome. I always see softball in Tropical Park but that s*** is boring as hell.
reclusedx
If you're not that good with fast pitch baseball just go ahead and join an adult softball team. Trust me its a lot more fun than baseball. I'm 20 and i havent joined any league but i've played softball with 25-30 + year old guys and let me tell you, its really fast paced and really not that difficult....a lot of fun....try out both of them. If you can, try and join a baseball academy.

There are adult basketball, football, soccer, and hockey leagues, why not baseball? It just doesn't make sense. What are those of us who love the sport of baseball supposed to do? Watching and rooting for the Marlins on TV and in person is great, but I want to PLAY.
batato
its been 7 years now, but i use to play for an adult baseball league in miami (ages 18-31 and ages 30 and over ) there was 2 leagues for these ages. We played games at tropical park and those fields by the stadium at homestead. I moved to broward thus can't play anymore (not making the 1 hour or more drive...and homestead is ridiculously far for me now). Don't know if the league still exsist but look around. Was fun as heck and fairly competitive. There was a bunch of ex college players in their 20's there. Personally i did fairly well considering i never played for a HS or College team. GL and if you find out info about it, be sure to let me know...I'd be curious...especially if they dropped the homestead games. Oh and btw there was tryouts....But I didnt hv a problem, so if your fairly good you won't eitheir. I found them in the newspaper advertising the league and tryouts.
