I know many of you guys on this board will care:

TURMOIL AT PACE

Gio and Max Gonzalez were thrown off the Monsignor Pace baseball team on Thursday night after the Spartans' 8-0 victory over Florida Christian due to a violation of team policy.

The brothers, who transfered from Hialeah to Pace after last season, had helped the Spartans to a 23-1 record and a No. 1 ranking in Baseball America this season.

''They [Max and Gio]broke team policy, and the integrity of my program will not be questioned or threatened,'' Pace coach Tom Duffin said. ``The bottom line is no one is above the program.''

Gio Gonzalez, who was a second-team preseason All-American, was 5-0 with 0.93 ERA this season, striking out 81 in 37 innings pitched. Max Gonzalez was a backup outfielder.

If Gio doesn't pan out as a pro, this could be the main reason... This is why they left Hialeah, and why they got kicked out of Monsignor Pace.

Which is...

I didn't see it anywhere in the article why they were kicked out... Bahavior Problems, no respect for their coaches, the teams don't tolerate it, and Gio and His brother leave or get kicked out.

Punks, I'd love to see him walk into a rookie league with that attitude when he's facing guys just as talented him some already with college experience.

Glad to see a coach running a real program not coddling his best players.

Glad to see a coach running a real program not coddling his best players. Yeah I'm surprised they did that, especially how Pace is known for caring about sports so much and recruiting players all the way from D.R.

Good job by Pace to show that they do commend respect from their players.

Also he is the 16th overall prospect not the 16th best pitcher.

Gio is better than most of those people.

81ks in 37 innings!!!! That is incredible

Also if you knew so much about high school then you forgot a kid by the name of Warren McFadden. That kid is incredible and is considered the 7th best overall prospect.

In my original post it says he's the 16th best prospect so I don't know who you're arguing with. Also, these aren't my rankings, these are Baseball America's, a scouting publication. They rank McFadden 25th.
