Would you care if Castro was put on waivers?

Recommended Posts

He's cheap and has "potential," someone will take him on waviers. Given that I think we have to hold on to him atleast a little while longer and look for a trade. The reality is that we're in first place and doing OK with him, so we can afford to wait.

I don't see why we can't bring a C up from the farm and send Sutton down. We did alright with 3 Cs last year.

I think the sentiment that if we put him on waviers and he's claimed then we haven't lost much is accurate, but it makes no sense to give him away if there's any possability of moving him in a trade.

He has the potential to do what? Hit .240? We could see a .60 point increase in his ba and he would still suck ass. At least gonzalez makes up for his hitting with outstanding defense. Castro sucks ass in every phase of the game.

I wouldn't be dissapointed if I don't ever see Castro in a Marlins uniform. He sucks. I honestly thought that .250 BA and 60 RBIs were a possibility. oh well.

Send Sutton down and bring a 3rd Catcher so at least you can pinch hit for Castro on key situations.

I think we try to trade him and if no takers we try to pass him through waivers in order to get him to AAA. Let's be honest, he is better than this. He needs time away to get his head straight and learn to put the bat on the ball again.
