Wild Card
To make a move before, he sure as hell is now. Dontrelle Willis, a stand-up kid, doesn't even get a win for his amazing effort, and the team loses with bullpen failure once again. Get something done Admin, and soon, because personally, I'm pissed off.

As long as we are in first, we will not make moves until near the deadline.
Ashley
It was Perisho. Perisho has shown he can do well all year long, it was one bad pitch... a mistake. It happens.
FreshFish
Bullpen? Jack has left the best reliever in baseball this year on the bench for 3 straight days.
Hotcorner
nothing like a 3-game slide to sober up after a 5-game winning streak! oh well, we'll own the Mets. on to A.J.'s big return. Our pen in the Reds series gave up 8 RUNS IN 9 INNINGS. GARBAGE.
NC_Marlin
I don't think what we have can even be called a bullpen. A bullpen does not a closer and five 4A players make.
FishFanPR
Bullpen? Jack has left the best reliever in baseball this year on the bench for 3 straight days. he's a f***ing closer....I'm tired of this already, you guys want to use Benitez to pitch everyday. GAgne has sit out for weeks, and nobody complains! We use Benitez as a closer, period. Perisho did a mistake today, yes, against the HOTTEST hitter right now. Let's face it: Casey is on fire, and he sure as hell beat us around. We got screwed in this series thanks to the bullpen, but our starting pitching, besides Willis wasn't light out. We depend on our starters to win games. Phelps sucked ass, and Penny was decent at best, and that cost us the series. Our bullpen contributed to our downfall, but we know that that is one of our weaknesses anyways.

They are in a collective slump right now so you guys wanna call them garbage.

Hotcorner
ok then just against the Reds they were garbage. and yeah starters didn't do much either, but you can't disguise 8 runs in 9 innings. that's just ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-d
Das Texan
Bullpen? Jack has left the best reliever in baseball this year on the bench for 3 straight days. you could argue using mando yesterday in the 10th and i would agree on that. i wouldnt of used him today in the 9th anyway. be realistic....you cant have mando in every damn situation. your closer is usually most effective when they are in that role. look at closer's stats....many tend to pitch worse in non save situations. They are in a collective slump right now so you guys wanna call them garbage this is not a slump this is how they really perform. that little 8 of 10 is the short period when they get hot. we need another flame thrower in the pen and not these soft tossers and talking about 95mph pitchers that are proven not retards like bump. Ashley
Certain parts of our bullpen need help. But Perisho just screwed up today... no reason to say he sux... cuz he doesn't.
Wild Card
Can't win everything, just chill we're still in first place. True enough, when your starter goes 6 2/3 innings without allowing a baserunner, YOU NEED TO WIN THAT GAME. NO EXCUSES.

You mean best CLOSER in the bigs, if you put him in every time we're in that situation by the end of the year he'll have 100 plus innings and lose his stuff. hell even Tommy Hutton said it. and as for the second quote. the only reliever in the bullpen worth a damn right now is Benitez. the others pull out some ok performances for an inning or two and they are a solid pen now? gimme a break. and those 8 of 10 prior wins were because of our starters not our relievers, and if anyone in the pen should be credited it should be Mondo. Ashley
3 runs for the opposing team isn't really like our pitching sucked. Our offense should have picked up.

Did I say he needed to be out there every night?! Every MLB closer is used on this role once in a while (9th or extra innings with the game tied). Do you guys even watch baseball? He breezed throught the Mets, and haven't worked on 3 days. is not like he needs a lot of rest

If Benitez had pitched last night I wouldn't be talking about it today. But he didn't pitch yesterday, so why not use him? Benitez was not going to be used today with the lead at that point. Why not use him in the top of the 9th against the Reds' toughest hitters? Because it was tied up? It was already the top of the 9th! There was no situation at that point where Benitez would be pitching with the lead. Someone tell me I'm wrong here.... I just don't see it. fishywishy
Perisho is our lefty specialist. It's his job and he didn't do it. Give up a hit, alright. Give up a HR? Again? Come now. I would've liked to see Benitez up, especially after not being used the past two days but that would've been a risk too. I am waiting for Beinfest's moves eagerly. It's pretty sad to have only one arm in the bullpen that doesn't make you totally pessimistic and nervous. What's the point of a starting rotation as good as ours?
