Bush and gullibility

Recommended Posts

Bush yesteday: "The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al Qaeda [is] because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda,"

Bush September 18th, 03: "We've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the September 11th [attack]..."

How god damn gullible is this country?

i'm sure they had this in mind the whole time.

they would imply it over and over again, yet stop just short of flat-out saying "Saddam and al-Qaeda are in cahoots"

so now when they're pressed on it, they fall back on "well we never stated it word-for-word! nah-nah-nah!"

I don't see where these two statements are logically mutually exclusive.

Relationship and causality are not the same thing. I was thinking the same thing...
