Paul LoDuca and Kaz Ishii for Brad Penny and a hitter in a three way deal with the D-Backs.

"Admin Walker left Coors Field on Thursday afternoon without viewing a trade proposal from the Florida Marlins."

The Guillen talks look like they are still there, and the Marlins have stopped speaking with the Yanks about the three way Johnson deal, but it looks like the LoDuca one is the most realistic one still on the table.

The deal would cost the Marlins right-hander Brad Penny, the franchise leader with 48 career wins, and another hitter off their major league roster. Sources said that player wouldn't be a regular.

That means Conine would be safe, probably Nunez. That means Ishii could also help out of the pen but he walks A LOT of hitters. We still wouldn't get the OF we need though.

His contract also includes a pair of team options for 2006 and 2007 at $3.3 million and $4 million, respectively. He also has a 10-team, no-trade clause, and the Marlins were on his list of undesired locations last year.

It was unknown if Ishii again submitted the Marlins this spring as a team to which he could not be traded without permission.

Looks like Ishii may not want to play for the World Champs. Stupid...
