MarlinFan10
He's performed better than any pitcher this year, but doesn't have the wins for Cy Young. He'll definatly have a Cy Young or two in his career though.
FreshFish
15 wins could do it for this kid.
CardsJimEdmonds15
After what I saw last night he was pretty good against the Cards after the 1st inning.. Dont know if he'll ever win a cy young but he's a pretty good pitcher imo!
catchoftheday
17 of 18 starts he has allowed 2 ER or less if he wouldnt have gotten injured and missed a month + than he could probably be in the running I agree though ... Peavy is a monster and will be a monster good choice for a sleeper
sheff#1
mando is the sleeper for the cy young
Accord
Clemens definitely needs consideration. 14-4, 3.08 ERA, 172 SO.
Craig
Not enough Dubs to win the Cy.... I would say that Pavano is the current favorite, especially if he (and the fish) continue their stellar play.
suge shot me
he gotta get at least 16 wins to be considered. pedro in montreal got it with like a 1.74 era and he had around that many wins. he needs more ip and more wins, unless hes unhittable, if not forget it. DTrainFan
nah i say Carl Pavano should get cy young because he has alot of wins this year he just needs to work on his ERA and he will be fine.
Marlins Phenom
nah i say Carl Pavano should get cy young because he has alot of wins this year he just needs to work on his ERA and he will be fine. 542199 His ERA is 3.09 why does he need to work with it? MarlinFan10
I think I should win the Cy Young 543981 Nah, but I would put you one notch above Darren Oliver on the Cy Young list.
TheMothman
The only pitcher that should deserve a Cy Young is Darrell Mays from Kansas City check out these numbers 9 wins 17 losses and a perfect ERA of 5.53. I don't know but there must be a mistake with the MLB stat boared last time i saw him pitch he faned 22 batters. :notworthy :shifty
Special K
Pavy deserves the Cy Young because hes carried the Marlins staff when Jach went down and Train started sucking it up. Peavy should finish 2nd or Third, Clemens is a dark horse who I think will win strictly on sentimental value and the fact that he's put up sick numbers in Coors Lite. I think it's wrong though, Pavy deserves it. And this coming from a Braves fan :thumbup

legacyofCangelosi
I still think Schmidt is the favorite. He has national attention a large numbe rof strike outs, wins, a low ERA, and the giants are also in the thick of the WC race. Assuming all these pitchers end the yearwith similar stats than they have now (maybe a few more wins here and there) the winner will be schmidt, I cannot imagine a marlin winning anything of significance. Remmeber Brown in '96? Or Sheffield's MVP #'s in '96 as well?
