SUNRISE - Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan announced today that the club has re-signed RW Juraj Kolnik to a one-year deal.

Kolnik, 23, posted National Hockey League career highs in games played (53), goals (14), assists (11) and points (25) last season. For his career with the Cats, he has played in 63 games and scored 14 goals with 11 assists.

?We are pleased to have signed Juraj for another season,? Keenan said. ?He had his best year as a professional last season, and we expect him to continue to improve and develop.?

The Nitro, Slovakia native has appeared in 99 NHL contests with Florida and the New York Islanders (2000-02), notching 20 goals and 15 assists. He was acquired by the Panthers from the New York Islanders on Oct. 12, 2002 in a trade for D Sven Butenschon. Kolnik was the New York Islanders seventh choice (101st) overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Juraj is one of my favorite players on the Panthers. Nice job by Keenan to keep him here.
