Can we really call Iraq a democracy?

First off, I want to say this. I am in now way saying that leaving a dictatorship is somehow better or that we are putting The Iraqi people under one as we speak. Iraq is better without Saddam and their's no question about that.

However, everytime I hear that we have installed a democracy into Iraq, I just can't agree. Their certainly better off but as I see it, fair, respectable elections by January are a stretch and with a picked regime in as for now mostly, it just doesn't seem to me that we should be calling them a free democracy.

They are a country better off and moving towards a democracy(That can be brought into question if one of the three groups can control an overwhelming power , their still moving forward though) but as of now, I say for both sides, stop calling something that has yet to be achieved.
