October 22, 200421 yr Just saw an ad on TV that showed a 4 year old white child playing, then flashed to a Middle eastern man firing a assault rifle. The ads implication is clear..talked about Kerry being risk we cant afford to take. Of course this one was...paid for by George Bush. Its on his website. Plus looks like he is following Reagan's fear tactics but with wolves rather than bears. The wolf ad is on his website too. Funny that the guardian against such ads on this board hasnt said anything yet?
October 22, 200421 yr How else do combat: "Bush will bring back the draft." "The republicans are trying to suppress the black vote." "Bush will put seniors in the lower class." "George Bush shares the ideologies of the confederacy."
October 22, 200421 yr Author How else do combat: "Bush will bring back the draft." "The republicans are trying to suppress the black vote." "Bush will put seniors in the lower class." "George Bush shares the ideologies of the confederacy." 598973 Yeah chewbacca...Bush is only doing this to defend against Kerry..you cant buy that can you? Plus, where did Kerry ever have an advertisment, on TV, that he approved...that stated any of those threats so explicitley?
October 22, 200421 yr Yeah chewbacca...Bush is only doing this to defend against Kerry.. Well, he certainly isn't trying to defend himself against a possible defeat by Nader.
October 22, 200421 yr Author Yeah chewbacca...Bush is only doing this to defend against Kerry.. Well, he certainly isn't trying to defend himself against a possible defeat by Nader. 598982 He has been on the offensive the day Kerry got the nomination. He would be resorting to these tactics if Kerry was Mother Theresa. Plus you didnt answer my other question. When did Kerry ever put out ads of that nature? Statements in the press can be debunked immedlatley via a response but ads cant be. When someone sees an ad, there isnt an immediate response from Kerry's team now is there? So where are the Kerry ads?

He would be resorting to these tactics if Kerry was Mother Theresa. Plus you didnt answer my other question. When did Kerry ever put out ads of that nature? 598987 The democrats put out a perfect candidate for Bush to expose as liberal. They nominate the guy with the most liberal voting record, so they should expect Bush to attack him for that. As far as Kerry put out ads, he hasn't put any tv ads out. However, he has claimed the draft could come back in all sorts of rallies. We see claims everywhere of suppressing the black vote (since black support for Bush has doubled) and Kerry has an imaginary claim of Bush wanting to privatize social security. Democrats should consider this before they nominate mega-liberal Kerry over a moderate like Lieberman.
October 23, 200421 yr They nominate the guy with the most liberal voting record - Just because Rush refers to one article does not make it true. Look at his voting record and tell me he's the most liberal. What I find funny is conservative talking heads can say one thing over and over and it eventually becomes accepted as true.
October 23, 200421 yr Author chewbacca, Im sorry this is so hard to get to you but the democrats dont nominate their candidate on what chewbacca and George Bush think of him. Youre flip flopping on the issue. That is clear. On the one hand you are saying its ok to use fear tactics against someone you yourself doesnt like. But then you cry wolf when its used against your own candidate. You need to get it straight as to whats ok and whats not. Youve gotta skip out on those talking points memos.

I'm trying to decipher what the random thing or run-ons is saying. I think I can make out what you're saying. Bush is making a point that he is better on national security. Is that scare tactics? The liberals are pulling lies from nowhere, and Kerry is actually using a lot of them.
October 23, 200421 yr I heard a commercial on the radio several times today that I found absolutely shocking. Let me see if I can find the link to it.
October 23, 200421 yr Kerry will say anything right now. Next commercial running in the battle ground state of Florida: "Due to the lack of effort of our president, the Miami Dolphins are now 0-6. This is wrong, and when John Kerry is president, the Dolphins will be 7-0. "
October 23, 200421 yr I support raising Minimum Wage. But then the ad went on to attack Conservatives saying that we don't think blacks matter...I was like WTF does this have to do with the reason for raising minimum wage...anyways...

But then the ad went on to attack Conservatives saying that we don't think blacks matter...I was like WTF does this have to do with the reason for raising minimum wage...anyways... 599096 i don't support raising it too much. We should tell people, "It's all right. Keep working at Burger King, we'll tax the rich and give you everything you need. Just have no ambition and continue to have a horrible job." Pessimism is awful and has never accomplished anything. There's nothing wrong with making minimum wage, but we shouldn't make it so people make have no aspiration to move forward.
October 23, 200421 yr If Kerry isn't the most liberal, name 1 senator with a more liberal record. 599090 Daniel Inoyue. You asked for one, would you like me to continue with others.

You asked for one, would you like me to continue with others. 599113 Inoyue is awesome. Why doesn't Chewbacca go ahead and blast him? I mean he only lost limbs in WW2. Does that make him weak on terror or national defense? In Bush's ideology yes it does.

I swear, Bush could molest kids and you would spin it in a positive way. Bush says Kerry will eat babies and he is talking about legit issues. Kerry says Bush will reinstate the draft and he is pulling lies. Thats the chewbacca logic! Its also interesting that the person the thread was pointing to seems to concede that the ads were as dirty as anything the other side puts on. Chewbacca, you truly are a true believer.
October 23, 200421 yr Its funny that you Flying Mollusk would tell someone to look at something objectively, you are soooo far to the left how can you see something objectively, granted the members on the board that are far to the right also suffer from not seeing things objectively, but you to tell someone to see objectively, come on, Im not buying that one.

Let me take you through a progression of the thread. I told him Bush would be on the offensive whether or not Kerry was on the offensive in response to his "Bush is on the defensive claims." He said Kerry was a liberal. (terrible response). I said its hypocritical of him to justify scare tactics for people who fit his politcal views and critisize those who dont fit his views. He said Bush is truth telling and Kerry is lying. I said he is repeating the same hypocriscy again. See how he hasnt stated anything with evidence? Even Pat Buchanan can make a valid point somtimes. But not when he assumes his view to be self fulfulling.

I agree, I wish I could see things objectively like a far left radical such as yourself. It's great how you don't defend everything Kerry does, and never accuse Bush of using horrible. BTW, I have never supported the whole Patriotic act thing. I wish I was as objective and moderate as yourself. Seriously, I wish I was moderate enough to worship Moore. You are truly an example of why the Democrat party is headed in the wrong direction.

You cant dig up once instance where Ive stated I share Moore's views can you? But it seems to be your response to everything. You know..most moderates would see this stuff for what it is. But you seem to be following the Anne Coulter true believer mold. Far left radical? :lol Hardly. But I suppose anyone who doesnt support Bush is a far left radical. Would you say they are on...the left bank? Let ask you this..why cant Republicans nominate Linoln Chafee? Why did they nominate a guy who has governed from the right? Why dont they do what I want?
October 23, 200421 yr Far left radical?? Hardly. But I suppose anyone who doesnt support Bush is a far left radical. Would you say they are on...the left bank? You're the one who claims Zell Miller is a nutcase for not supporting Kerry. If you weren't far left wing, I'd like to see which conservative views you have. :mischief I can say I'm not very conservative. Sure, I can say it all I want, but that doesn't make it true.

Read again what you wrote..if Im not a left radical..I have to have conservative views. Youve just proven that, in your mind, anyone who is not a conservative is a left radical. You ever hear of moderates or left leaning people? You know, people that dont follow Bush and the conservative agenda to the end? I guess anyone that doesnt is a left radical.Thank you for proving me right. :lol

I'm saying that if you take the liberal view on every single issue, how can you be anything but far left? Seriously, why do you think I'm far right because I don't like John Kerry?
October 23, 200421 yr BTW mollusk, you're the one who thinks that because I'm conservative that : Why do you want to invade the entire middle east? Why do you want to force them to Christianity? Why do you think gays should be slaughtered? Why do you think companies should be allowed to pollute whenever they want? ANSWER ME! WHY ARE THESE YOUR VIEWS?! Because right wing nuts have those views... 594086 People who view conservatives like this are left wing radicals.
