November 11, 200420 yr You've got to do better than this man. 612602 ditto it's getting ridiculous
November 11, 200420 yr I'll take you seriously for a second and say that they both resemble the heart of America. Geographically, yes, Red states are the "heart." But let me ask you this, have you ever driven through a covered bridge in Vermont? Have you ever driven through upstate New York? Have you ever hiked through the forests of Maine? These are all truly Americana, and yes, they're in blue states. I could go on. But I won't waste my breath anymore.
November 11, 200420 yr Ill let Woody Guthrie do the talking: This land is your land, This land is my land, From California To the New York Island, From the redwood forest, To the Gulf stream waters, This land was made for you and me. As I was walking, That ribbon of highway, I saw above me That endless skyway, I saw below me That golden valley. This land was made for you and me. I've roamed and rambled And I've followed my footsteps To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts And all around me a voice was sounding This land was made for you and me The sun comes shining As I was strolling The wheat fields waving And the dust clouds rolling The fog was lifting a voice come chanting This land was made for you and me As I was walkin' I saw a sign there And that sign said no trespassin' But on the other side It didn't say nothin! Now that side was made for you and me! In the squares of the city In the shadow of the steeple Near the relief office I see my people And some are grumblin' And some are wonderin' If this land's still made for you and me. Nobody living can ever stop me As I go walking That freedom highway Nobody living can make me turn back This land was made for you and me
November 11, 200420 yr Ay Dios mio! Is this where we are going now??? I have to say that I don't like extremists on either side. It is pretty pathetic. One side wants to secede and call themselves the United States of Canada, the other side wants to believe they are the "Heart" of America and that their beliefs should be the rule of law... Both of you suck! Next time I hear a whinny progressive or a gloating conservative I'm gonna shoot them both. :mad :
November 11, 200420 yr Can you and future_gm go box each other outside of our viewership? We frankly don't care about both of your incredibly skewed views against anything the other side says.
November 11, 200420 yr Why don't you just ask their party affiliation instead.. it's the same question as this. Stupid poll
November 12, 200420 yr It isnt a question of extremism as much as an overabundance of gloating and lack of realization that politics isnt a baseball game. The winner and losers of an election have to work together, b/c no matter who you voted for we're all americans and in the end are striving for whats best for this country

I hate Bush, but it is in my best interest that he succeeds.

IMO, a few weeks, or even months, of gloating is not out of line considering how democrats behaved for the four prior years. They wanted to sow, now let them reap for a while. 614006 You and Chewy have some issues...
