New Roid Rules

not good enough, but eh, what can you do when neither side really cares and the media paints it as sufficient.

4 positive tests gets you a one year suspension? damn, i would think the dude would have picked up a lifetime ban by then.

oh well, at least there's a penalty for the first offense now. i don't know if the player will necessarily be publicly identified by the league, but if bonds sits out up to 10 straight because of "aches and pains," we'll know why.

I guess it will take some players some time to get the roids out of their system....

Only token improvements for the most part.

Yet glad to see some progress was made. As with most things you have to continue to move the bar each opportunity.

I haven't seen a statement by John McCain, but hope he is not satisfied with this result and will continue to pressure them to go further.

The suspensions can be as weak as they want.. the most important thing is that it is brought to the publics attention whenever someone fails a steroid test.. that's the most important thing and what will scare the player more than any suspension.

Sure, suspending a player for a # of days, as opposed to games will make it obvious why they were suspended.
