July 16, 200322 yr I don't know about this trade for the Twins. I think outfield is the only place they didn't need help. It's a great trade for the blue jays, they got a promising young outfielder in return for a guy that they have been trying to trade for years.

July 17, 200322 yr Okay well the way I look at it is. I have seen the player to be named going to Minnesota from Toronto. But then I've seen it as the Blue Jays Getting the Player to be named and vice-versa. Now if I am such a deciding factor on this of if it was good. Here is the breakdown... Kielty is a good solid player. .258 avg. 9hrs. He hits more for power then anything else. Is a decent outfielder. Stewart (who shares my last name on a sidenote) .294, 7hrs. Clearly doesn't hit for power. But batting around .300 is good for a leadoff spot which he will take. Bumping Jacque Jones down. The Twins have easily the best OF in baseball, Hunter, Jones, Mohr, and now Stewart. I see this as an even trade more or less that favors the Twins due to Stewarts superior batting average. But the true deciding factor in the trade is who gets the player to be named. If Toronto gets the Player to be named (probably a Minor League prospect) they win the trade. But if the Twins do they win the trade. But Stewart is a more complete player then Kielty. But I would have traded Eddie Guardado who now that he gave up 2 runs in the All*Star game SUCKS and we could have gotten a good closer or power hitter, maybe both for him.
