Does anyone know if Joe Dillon has options left for this year, or will he have to clear waivers to stay with the organization (if he doesn't make the 25-man roster)?

I'm pretty sure that age, and a .208 spring batting average, assure that he'll pass through waivers just fine...

I appreciate the commentary.

However, I am still curious; does Dillon have any options left on his contract?

considering he's never been on a major league roster, he certainly has options left.

reading between the lines I think the organization might want him going back to AAA until needed

''Obviously, I want to make the team. It'll be great if that comes,'' said Dillon, 29, who has hit .208 with a home run this spring.

``If not, I'll go from there. So until I'm on the bus going to Miami or I'm on the bus going back to Albuquerque, I'm just going to try to do the best I can every day and get better.''

really?... for some reason I think he would get picked up if we had to put him on waivers

He has options left. He's never been on a 40 man roster of any team. They could probably even outright him and clear a space on the Marlins 40 man just based on his spring numbers.
