You know Beckett threw a 101 mph pitch that was fouled to the right field seats on opening day.

On the FSN gun, not the Stadium gun. The JRS gun is the accurate one.

Are you sure it wasn't the speed of the pitched ball or batted ball? Lots of times the gun tends to pick up speeds after the ball is batted.

Yes he threw 101 MPH against Shawn Green in 2002 i believe.

AJ threw 100 about 5 times yesterday and 101 once after the ball got by Delgado at first. MOST of his fastballs were 98-99 ALL GAME which is sick.

There is no stright up baseball forum, so things not concerning the Marlins but just baseball in generall usually fall into MLB, you got it right...

Again, that was the TV gun.

 

The highest I've ever seen Beckett hit is 99 on the stadium gun, and I was at NLCS Game 5. AJ I've seen hit as high as 102, but that was in 2002. Post surgery the highest I've seen from him is 101 once and 100 3 or 4 times.
