April 18, 200519 yr comment_476350 I'm gonna go with goalie. Soccer games are so low scoring, one mistake by the goalie could mean the game's over (and so is your life in the wrong nation). Also, when you are up against a PK, you have about a 1 in 5 chance of guessing right and that's all you can do. It's not like hockey where it's a small puck but the net isn't too big and you can maneuver to cover all of it. Soccer nets are huge and you have to be both quick and have a nice vert to be able to cover the whole thing, and even there will still be spots you can't get around to. April 18, 200519 yr comment_476352 Can't stand cross country with a ball, but goalie is tough. Link to comment https://www.marlinsbaseball.com/topic/27532-hardest-position-to-play/?&do=findComment&comment=476352 Share on other sites

April 18, 200519 yr comment_476354 gotta be goalie. it's one thing to try to kick a ball into a net but to have to defend all that territory with so much added pressure is another. all the other position players don't have as much pressure because there's so many of them that they could all f*** up but youre the only goalie so when you miss that ball, it's your fault and only yours. April 18, 200519 yr comment_476355 I played soccer for nearly 10 years and I would have to say Midfield (Halfback). Link to comment https://www.marlinsbaseball.com/topic/27532-hardest-position-to-play/?&do=findComment&comment=476355 Share on other sites
April 18, 200519 yr comment_476356 Goalie..... because if you let in a goal a bounty will be placed on your head :mischief . But in all seriousness, I never played soccer, but I did play lacrosse and the positions are very similar... midi is by far the toughest position on the field and you have to be in excellent condition to play it. April 18, 200519 yr comment_476358 In a biased opinion I'll say defense, particularly sweeper. Sweepers have to see all of the field, be team leaders, and are the last line of defense. A lot goes into playing that position.
