TSwift25
Forgive me if this is old news, but I hadn't seen it posted: Marlins transferred RHP Tim Spooneybarger from the 15-day to 60-day disabled list. Spooneybarger, still recovering from Tommy John surgery, won't pitch for the Marlins until June at the earliest. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=MLB&id=6802 So, I'd expect him back around the same time Alfonseca gets healthy... rferry
It's a 40-man roster move. Says nothing about his health.
Everlong204
our pen should be fine, especially once AA and mota come back, Spooney should be a nice boost to our pen come August and september

Could be that problem of scar tissue that a lot of guys have after surgery and they start pitching again.
rferry
There was a story recently he had a setback in recovery (check the archives), but this is clearly a 40-man roster move. We only had 1 spot open and to make room for Smith and Crowell, either a prospect/minor leaguer had to be exposed to waivers or Spooney had to be retroactively put on the 60-day DL.
