Posted May 8, 200520 yr I feel good. This will mean jackshit to everyone else, but my political losing steak has now ended. After 4...no 5 long years or something like that, my candidate finally won. In my city council district and my mayorial candidate is in the runoff. In the kicker for the day, the dood in the city council who was ousted today, walked right past me and blew me off. His supporters flanking him greeted me and said hi. I laughed. He lost. We all win. And it wasnt even close which is just frosting. And we wont talk about the hilarity of my hometown in other ways right now.

When I was in college, one of the professors in school tried to run for local alderman. The incumbent basically screwed the shcool over as much as possible. But the election was tight and with the student vote key, it was hilarious seeing the incumbent alderman begging college students who really didnt care for their vote.
May 8, 200520 yr Author race in one of the small towns just outside of san anttonio for mayor which was very hotly contested and there has been a major controversery lately over a walmart... total margin of victory.... 1 you know that whole every vote counts thing. ya.
