Sports Game Preview The Houston Astros hope to win back-to-back road games for the first time this season as they continue their three-game series against the Florida Marlins at Dolphins Stadium. Roger Clemens pitched seven shutout innings as the Astros broke an 11-game road losing streak Monday by beating the Marlins 2-1. ``He's fantastic,'' manager Phil Garner said. ``He has pitched like this every game. Tonight we put a couple of runs on the board and it stood up.'' Outfielder Orlando Palmeiro drove in both runs with a single and sacrifice fly. The Astros improved to 2-14 on the road, winning away from Houston for the first time since April 15. They bounced back from a 16-0 loss Sunday at Atlanta, their sixth consecutive defeat. The 42-year-old Clemens outpitched Florida's A.J. Burnett, allowing just four hits and stranding four runners at second base to lower his ERA to 1.10. He has yet to allow a run on the road in 21 innings. Burnett struck out nine in seven innings but was hurt by a wild pitch and the only walk he allowed. Only 20,539 fans showed up for the marquis pitching match up. There will likely be less in attendance Tuesday as Houston sends Brandon Backe against Marlins right-hander Brian Moehler. Backe (2-2) has been charged with 19 earned runs in 17 1-3 innings over his last three starts. The young right-hander is 0-2 with a 9.72 ERA in three starts away from Minute Maid Park this season. Moehler is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in three career starts against Houston. He's 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA in seven appearances for Florida, including three starts. The Marlins have lost two in a row and could be without second baseman Luis Castillo on Tuesday. Castillo strained his left thigh running out a bunt in the sixth inning Monday. Castillo, listed as day to day, is tied with Juan Pierre for the team lead in stolen bases with five. Stat of the Day: Brian Moehler's last 5 appearances: 4ER 12K 2.00 ERA (18IP)
