May 16, 200520 yr Right now? Iverson. 774609 Why? I dont necessarily disagree with you, but what is your reasoning? 774613 Iverson is a warrior IMO. He has played with crap his whole career, and yet has still put up fantastic numbers with teams essentially focusing only on him. The little man goes right at any center and any big man, regardless of the punishment he takes. He has played through more pain then most player. His body is abused and he can still put up 50. I like his ability to dominate from behind the arc. I also like his big shot ability. He is a more established player at this point, so I take AI.
May 16, 200520 yr Iverson, right now, is better than Wade. but if i was an owner, i would rather have D Wade. wont be a headache off the court, is less injury prone and is much younger than AI

I know in this league ... if someone comes back from an injury, if he's a starter he starts. What's the difference? If you're going to cut my time down, cut my time down. It doesn't make any difference. I'm a starter." id say that little statement was a headache for the Sixers

If Iverson hasnt earned the right to start, when he thinks hes ready, the coach needs to be slapped. The man is that team and its organization. I dont think anything from that comment hurt that team or did anything to disrupt it.

DWade can drive to the hole better than any guard in the NBA, IMO, DWade also elevates everyones game around him. Also DWade plays great defense. He led all guards in blocked shots. AI is a better pure scorer than Wade, but I feel Wade's intangibles are better than AI. Also Wade is a team player, its not all about Wade on the court whereas with AI I cant say that. At the beginning of the year I said AI wasnt even a top 20 player. I was wrong. AI is definately a top 10 player in the NBA.
May 16, 200520 yr Iverson, because he made the playoffs with a very bad team. Even with Webber, Iverson was the only real weapon the Sixers had. A one man show who put a team on his back and carried it...hell, he should have been MVP ahead of Nash.
May 16, 200520 yr Iverson knows how to win in this league and has to deal with a lot more because of his size but Wade could change all that in the next couple of years. However, AI has been the most prolific scorer in the league since Jordan retired from Chicago and you've got to give him the benefit of the doubt.
May 16, 200520 yr Although I chose LeBron in the other question, I take Wade here. Even forgetting age, they both can put up a ton of points and get to the basket whenever they want and AI might even be a little bit better at shooting the three. However, Wade makes his team better than AI overall IMO. Never in the two years has Wade had a problem with a teammate as far as playing together. However, AI has runoff Stackhouse, Admin Hughes, Glenn Robinson and now it seems Chris Webber. This is not something to overlook, as he needs the ball to be effective and dribbles and shoots a ton. He usually shoots a poor percentage, which is also a product of shooting so much. He has only once shot over .425 for a season, which is not very good. The claim that he has had not help and defenses can key on him more is pretty invalid when you see the teammates he has run off with his style of play and the fact is the 6ers have to make the team up with people who will not shoot much. While the claim of toughness can be made for him, it can not be lost on Wade either, who easily gets beat up as much as anyone in the league as well, although he is a little more built to take the hit. Wade is just as good a defender as AI already and can body up a bigger guy better. Wade, IMO, is also better without the ball and can create more for others easier, since that is the way his game flows. He is better without the ball than AI too. That is my reasoning and justification for Wade over AI.
May 16, 200520 yr I don't know why people are so reluctant to embrace the awesomeness that is Dwyane Wade. I think he's easily better than Iverson. I don't think AI is really a championship player. I mean, he's pretty awesome, but he can't do it alone. And yet, it almost doesn't matter who you put with him, because when AI's on the floor, its all about AI. Get him some good teammates, and he has to change the way he plays. I don't think he's shown the ability to do that. With AI, you'll never suck, but you'll never be great. This doesn't have to be about AI, though. I just think Wade does more than him. He's a better decisionmaker, a better team player...and if it weren't for those things, he'd be just as good of a scorer. If AI wins this, its on defense, and I admittedly just don't know enough to compare the two on defense, but Wade's no slouch on D, so AI had better be All-NBA good.

May 17, 200520 yr AI is a HOF and should be considered better, but I rather have Wade. "practice? is just practice, is not a game, is not a game"

May 18, 200520 yr who is better... wade or _______ who has more potential ... wade or _________ who has more range rovers... wade or ________ who cares? just enjoy what he's doing and ask no questions, don't compare him to anyone. He's himself.
