Posted May 25, 200519 yr Lo Duca looks like hes been struggling a little the last few games...i think we have been overplaying him....we need to start giving him more days off
May 25, 200519 yr Regardless of LoDuca, Treanor is a good catcher. Very solid defensively, ehhh.. ok with the bat. Definetly deserving of some playing time.
May 26, 200519 yr He's 1-15 with 2 walks in his last 4 games...Horrible. His BA was .336 before these last 4 games, but now his BA is just barely over .300 at .306
May 26, 200519 yr He's fine, leave him in there. Just look at what he did in the first inning today, when he gunned Jimmy Rollins at 3rd base. That was sweet.

That was sweet. 783442[/snapback] Rollins got a bad jump and shouldn't have ran. With his speed and Leiter's slowness to the plate he should have went on the next pitch instead-but it was a double steal so he had to run...If he gets a good jump Lo Duca has no shot. Lo Duca took adavantage of his bad jump and nailed him at 3rd though to help Leiter get out of the inning.
May 26, 200519 yr Treanor should get some more playing time eventually. I'd also like to see Joe Dillon starting some games just for fun sometime. I am impressed with his few appearances. I wonder how many different positions he feels comfortable playing...
May 26, 200519 yr Dillon's played 3B mostly, but also 1B and 2B. They experimented with LF parts of last year, this year and over the winter.
May 26, 200519 yr Well if anyone ever needs to sit out a game and just get a rest, I'd love to see Dillon play a complete game. "Run, Joe, run!"
May 26, 200519 yr Agreed. Jack has definitely been over-using LoDuca lately. He needs to be given 1-2 days off a week. But then again. Jack thinks all players should be super human.
May 26, 200519 yr Treanor should have started tonights game. LoDuca will wear down if Jack doesnt sit him soon.
