June 13, 200521 yr Quote from espn insider: Jun. 10> The Royals are ready to play let's make a deal. According to USA Today, outfielder Terrence Long and pitchers Brian Anderson and Jose Lima are available without surrendering a top prospect If I had a choice I would take Brian Anderson. He seems to have the most upside. And without giving up a top prospect he would replace leiter very well.

And his ERA is 6.75. Can you pass the ganja my friend? I think you've had enough
June 13, 200521 yr Leiter>Anderson>Lima Terrance Long is bantha poodoo. The Royals have nothing to offer anyone.
June 13, 200521 yr I'd take Zach Greinke... :shifty 807599[/snapback] The only untouchable player on the team and the only one anyone would want. The Royals are pretty darn screwed. :whistle

June 13, 200521 yr I'd take Lima. I wanted him in the offseason before we even mentioned Leiter. I think Lima could thrive in this latin community (like Benitez/Pudge). Lima has never had overpowering stuff but he's usually been a winner.
June 13, 200521 yr Author Sorry, I didnt realize Anderson was on the DL. I think he will be a good pitcher in the right situation though.
June 13, 200521 yr Lima is intriguing, but only as a sideshow type of player. I don't see how he would be that much of an upgrade for the pitching staff.
June 13, 200521 yr Lima is obviously a NL only pitcher but we need bullpen help more than a Leiter replacement.
June 13, 200521 yr I love Jose Lima. That said, he's done. A quick review of his splits (which are terrible on their face) show a guy who is getting worse as the season progresses, with little chance he'll improve.
June 13, 200521 yr *opens up text file with generic answers for questions like this* Because 1. he's not good and 2. any improvement that is gained is not so much to make the move.
