WhoShaq
Maybe those calling for Robinson's head were right all along.Cleveland was 26-29 when Murray was fired on June 4th and are now 46-37 and not only back in the race but probably the hottest team in baseball right now.At least 5 key players have raised their averages about 40 points and Hafner had one of the best June's in Indians history. Is there substance to any of this? I don't know. Go ask the Indians fans. :mischief2
MarlinsFan253
Thank you for bringing this up. I didn't even realize the Indians were doing so well lately. They have been slipping under my radar because I am not too involved with the AL.

Shamrock
Maybe we should force Bill Robinson to change his name to Eddie Murray and then fire him. Yeah, I've got big hopes for this plan. Do it FO.
AGonzalez11
It's no coincidence either -- Victor Martinez was a wreck -- Travis Hafner caught fire shortafter as well. I can't believe they've kept Robinson this long -- Beinfest/upper managment is proving to be more inept by the day
Guest Moneyball
Offensive stats would make this argument THAT much better. But you know where I stand on his issue. So I don't need stats. But you know...for the doubters. :mischief
MarlinsFan253
Well... it probably can't hurt to let Robinson go.

The biggest problem I see is that as an offensive unit, we play too much for the three run home run, productive outs are almost nonexistant with these guys, and it's tough to win night in and night out if you can't execute in that way. Accord
He needs to be fired, it's already been half a season, we can't wait any longer.
D-Train35
I think we'll all be relieved a bit once it happens...(still hoping that it does.)
MarlinsFan253
I feel fairly neutral about it... but I can say that I don't think I would be disappointed if it happens. It would probably just hype me up a bit to see how the offense performs after the fact.
Guest Moneyball
I think we'll all be releived a bit once it happens...(still hoping that it does.) 841672[/snapback] I have come to the conclusion that the FO will not do this. They had a perfect opportunity when the team scuffled a few weeks ago. I've lost a lot of confidence in the FO in a very short period of time. Hollyberry
Yep the Indians are HOT! I was in Cleveland for 5 weeks and I watched 95% of the games.. They also had a 9 or 10 game win streak.. I wish the Fish could do that. I know alot about the Indians :shifty We need to fire Robinson

In his place, they have hired Eddie Murray! :o Just kidding :mischief2 But Hollyberrry saw it first hand...a changing of the hitters coaching guard has proven very recently on what wonders it can do! Fishfan79
warning before that is done though. That it can also backfire too. So you need to be careful and figure out who will take the place of the fired coach.. I also gotta wonder who their winning streak has been against. Alot of times dependingon the schedule will depend upon the streaks. Plus the Indians have been getting ALot better pitching lately too. The eras of westbrook, sabbitha and others have been dropping when before they were terrible. as for robinson :shrugs : we need a big trade or something to smack folks around. If we could get something for him, I would say trade lowell. It would show that not even the face of the franchise is safe if you dont preform. MarlinGuru
If it didn't happen about two-weeks ago when we looked even shittier, than there is no way in hell that it's going to happen now, even though I want it to happen. The FO must have some sort of bond with Bill Robinson.
