Guest Moneyball
According to some sources Peter Gammons has Beinfest's job may be on the line. Considering what's happened this year and last I wouldn't blame Loria for doing it. Although he did put together what we thought would be a first place team. How could anyone forsee this blowing up how it has? I will give him blame for not making moves earlier coaching staff and player-wise. He put together a spectacular team, like you said, if anyone told us this team would be in last place after the all-star break, we would have laughed at them. I think our "The Hunt For A Teal October" jinxed the team :plain.
geemoney
I don't get why Beinfest would be on the hot seat AT ALL.
Jimmy42Jack0
beinfest is one of the best and most creative gms in the league...in all of sports for that matter...but he cant pitch, he cant hit and i think he really sucks defensively...so the blame has to go on the players and coaching in my opinion... WildMarlinMan2003
This should be in the rumors thread- rumors that arent true.

Marlins2003
I said this in the "Gammons" thread but to repeat myself i this new thread, I heard it differently. I think what was acknowledged was there is friction between Jack and Admin and at some point Jack may have said something to Loria akin to "it's him or me", but I didn't get the impression at all that Beinfest is the one in jeopardy. And why was this thread moved? It's not a trade related thread.
Beinfest4Prez
You know, its quite bad that on this board, we are taking everything that Gammons says as fact. I remember the days of Tim Jerkjin and Peter "I love John Henry" Gammons.

Fishfan79
Say goodbye to jack if there is as struggle between the two. That is what he was speaking of upon the radio it seemed. Beinfest is going nowhere. He is so creative.

Guest Juanky
I can't see this as true. Why would Admin's job be on the line, when outside of the strange manuevering of AAA he's done a pretty good job (during seasons)? He put a team that should be laughing at the competition right now on the field, they just aren't performing.
Ramp
Mike Hill taking over the job? that would be awesome
musk
yeah i think beinfest is pretty safe. he had everyone thinking this team was a world series contender this year which was the first time thats happened since 97. and he did it within the relm of the marlins financial status. the only thing you could possibly blame beinfest for is letting go of lee but that is all in hindsight. reports that beinfest is on the hotseat are just straight up wrong. And w/ that post. Im off to go home. I'll be sure to fill up this forum w/ more realism tomorrow morning . I know how much you all love it. Marlins04
who the f*** would think beinfest is on the hot seat, please for beinfest to get fired first jack gets fired then robinson, then loria will fire himself, and then comes beinfest. rferry
Ed Wade has put together great teams too. A GM's job is not done at the end of February. Hard to say this past offseason's investments have worked out so far. On one hand you have Delgado and Jones, on the other Leiter, Riedling and Perisho.
