Posted October 3, 200519 yr Week 5 isn't looking good and its a week away. Kerry Collins is my QB and he is on bye in week 5.. Kurt Warner is my backup and he's hurt.. and there isn't exactly much on the wire. Oh yea, the dude I'm playing next week has Peyton vs. San Fran.. So, who should I pick up and start: Mark Brunnell vs. Denver Gus Frerotte vs. Tampa Josh McKown vs. Carolina Anthony Wright vs. Detroit Kyle Orton vs. Cleveland This is sad.. I'm actually leaning Anthony Wright.
October 3, 200519 yr I cant believe I am going to say this :checks his pulse: but consider the miami QB. So far Gus has 6 Tds and only 2 INT. He is very careful with the ball and will give you 200 yards passing and 2TD per game. Plus in week 5 ricky is back so it will be brown and ricky in the backfield which means a stacked box and good things for McMichael and Chambers and the wide outs. Tampa has a weakness on defense in their secondary (great linebackers). Brunell might be an alright play as well. He is a solid option it seems and is settling down. His defense gets him good field position so often chances for a few TD's. Wright wouldnt be my pick. Detiot will manhandle them. He looked worse then his stats showed this week. Against a good team he will be dead meat. Josh McKown vs. Carolina Watch McKown this week. He looked good last night and his recievers are amazing as well. Carolina was lit up by miami in the air. He could be a possible play as well.
October 4, 200519 yr Frerotte is playing Tampa? Yeah I have a bad dilemma this week, Culpepper's on his bye, so I get to start Steve McNair or Mark Brunell. Seriously, if I were you, I'd take Mark Brunell or McCown.
October 9, 200519 yr Author I went gut feeling and went with Wright.. ended up getting me 18 pts. I'll take it any day of the week. We'll see how the other options turn out.
October 9, 200519 yr Author McCown is looking like the winner... I bow to Ralph. I was just happy the QB position didn't give me negative points.
