SUN, OCT 16 TIME (ET)

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM - Roethlisberger looks like he’s going to be alright to play Sunday, otherwise Jacksonville has this in the bag. I love Byron Leftwich but he just isn’t going to be able to win in the Steel City, ladies and gentlemen. STEELERS win, 28-17

Miami at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM - Love the Buccaneers, but they’re worse than their record shows. I hate to pin the blame on one injury, but Cadillac is the difference here. The ‘Phins are excited about having Ricky back, so are their fans, and I think it’s probably more than they should be. However, this game is going to come down to which offense can scrounge up more points, and Miami has a lot going for them with Ricky Williams, and, oh yeah, Ronnie Brown! DOLPHINS win, 19-12.

Cleveland at Baltimore 1:00 PM - I like Cleveland’s chances here. The Ravens are just reeling right now and are by far the worst team in the AFC North. Plus, I think Trent Dilfer would like to show his old team what a good thing they had, especially now that Baltimore is struggling to find a good QB. The BROWNS pull one out here, 23-16

Atlanta at New Orleans 1:00 PM - New Orleans is going to have a hard time saving face after their massacre at Lambeau. Barring a huge debut game for Jessie Chatman, and we’re talking 150+ yards, the FALCONS are going to take this NFC South matchup, 27-17

Minnesota at Chicago 1:00 PM - In a disgusting NFC North, this game is huge. Chicago is yet to really show the kind of team they are, and Minnesota is hiding a lot of wounds right now. With WR Nate Burleson out this week, and the inconsistency of Daunte Culpepper this season, I like the BEARS in this one, barring too many turnovers. Chicago wins, 10-24

NY Giants at Dallas 1:00 PM - The Giants are coming off of a bye week, the Cowboys off of a huge win at home against the Eagles. I really think the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC this year, but Dallas seems like they aren’t going to be stopped at this point. Dallas should win this one, but this could be anyone’s game. That being said, the COWBOYS win big over the New York Football Giants, 20-31

Carolina at Detroit 1:00 PM - Carolina is very fragile, and I think Detroit has a great shot at getting a win in this game. Carolina has shown that they’re vulnerable to big pass plays, and to me, this game is all on Joey Harrington’s shoulders. I’m giving him my vote of confidence, and the LIONS will win 24-23

Cincinnati at Tennessee 1:00 PM - Cincinnati is miles ahead of where they have been, don’t get me wrong. However I like the Titans in this matchup. Cincinnati’s questionable defense will cost them a number of big plays from Steve McNair. Their injury problems at the center position will probably cost them a few productive runs and a few hurried Carson Palmer throws - Tennessee’s secondary might get a chance to pick off a few interceptions because of this, and that’s just what they need. Without further adieu, I see the TITANS winning here, 23-34

Washington at Kansas City 1:00 PM - When the Chiefs went to Denver, they didn’t stay in the game for more than a quarter. When the Redskins went to Denver, the game came down to the last minute. Kansas City has a potent and explosive offense, however, Washington has the ability to disarm that. The Redskins offense led by Mark Brunell just keeps improving every week. I know you’re going to roll your eyes at this one but I think that the REDSKINS improve to 4-1 over the vulnerable Chiefs, 27-17

New England at Denver 4:15 PM - Denver is damn good, especially at home, and after New England barely squeaked out a win over a Vick-less Falcons, I like the Broncos in this one. New England still has a great offense, however, their defense will not keep them in this game for long, and Invesco is a very tough place to make up a touchdown or two once you get behind. I like the BRONCOS over New England, 29-20

NY Jets at Buffalo 4:15 PM - Buffalo might not quite have it together, but they’re not a bad team. The Jets won last week, sure, but their offense was unable to sustain any big drives, I mean, come on, they only scored 14 points. They'll do the same this week and lose to the BILLS 14-18

San Diego at Oakland 4:15 PM - San Diego couldn’t win at home Sunday, in spite of the many questionable calls in their favor. They are a better team than their record shows, but Oakland is as well. This could go either way, but I think it’s time for the RAIDERS to assert some ownage over their division rival Chargers, 23-34

Houston at Seattle 8:30 PM - Things are looking worse every week for the Texans. The Seahawks D-Line is going to have a field day this week. The only thing Houston has going for them is the #1 draft pick in this year’s draft, however, now Matt Leinart isn’t playing that hot. What a season, huh? SEAHAWKS win, 7-31

MON, OCT 17 TIME (ET)

St. Louis at Indianapolis 9:00 PM - Of course I hope Mike Martz gets well, his condition does sound scary. Wouldn’t it be something for his team to pull this one out for him against unbeaten Indianapolis? A lot of things in football happen that no one would guess, and I’m calling this now. Marc Bulger leads the Rams to a heartwarming victory for Coach. RAMS win, 20-24

BYE WEEK:

Arizona - The Cardinals have needed a bye since Week 1. Unfortunately it isn’t going to help much, because they have to face the resurgent Titans in Week 7. Not that having Kurt Warner was any comfort, but now that Kurt’s hurt, the Cardinals are in a good position to pick up a Top #5 draft pick.

Green Bay - This team could get dangerous. They played well in Carolina, and obviously a 52-3 trouncing of the Saints is about as big of a wave of momentum as you can ride into a bye week. The Vikings have to face them in Week 7, and they should be worried.

Philadelphia - The Eagles were looking just fine until this past Sunday. They’ll need to regroup and regroup completely because San Diego is coming to town in Week 7.

San Francisco - This team isn’t looking too great right now. Alex Smith is going to need the rest this weekend because he’s going to have a tough time against Gregg William’s defense in Washington in Week 7.

very cool preview dodge. you always put some nice work into your previews. cant wait for that Phins game! should be a goodie

That aint happening. Peyton will score at will against that defense.

Thanks man. I know it's really unlikely but that's a limb I don't mind going out on.

I can't-can't-can't believe you picked the Titans.

Granted, they've always been tough, every year we play them. But, they're busted.

O RLY? YA RLY.

I have lost all faith in Brian Griese, sadly I have to agree with you, and pick the Dolphins.
