"With a guaranteed $2.5 million in his contract for 2006, Red Sox lefthander David Wells intends to return for his 20th season in the major leagues, according to an industry source. But Wells, who turns 43 May 20 and plans to have knee surgery this winter, has conveyed to the Red Sox a desire to finish his career on the West Coast -- he has a home near San Diego -- and the Sox have indicated they will try to honor his request." -- 10.21, Gordon Edes, Boston Globe

Will work out best for bost sides involved.

I wish Wells the best.

It's not really a case of him demanding to be outta Boston, it's a request to go to a team closer to home to finish his career. It's nothing Manny like. He could definatly help a team like the Dodgers or Padres next year.

it makes sense specially if they can get somthing useful and free up some cash.

Wells signed by the dodgers to make up for loss of Weaver?

Wells signed by the dodgers to make up for loss of Weaver?

Wells is under contract.

Jeff Weaver has not left the Dodgers yet.

You are a moron.

Make allowances for the guy with the hangover. Weaver will be gone. Dodgers trade for him to ease the loss. I am really sorry Passion.
