Posted October 27, 200519 yr With extremely limited internet access, no TV, no gas to go anywhere, and literally NOTHING else to do I want to buy a few DVD's to watch but can't really think of anything good. I like epic war movies, like Kingdom of Heaven, Braveheart, The Patriot, Gladiator, etc. Recommend some DVD's I should get!
October 27, 200519 yr Feel free to look at my collection: http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=claytongooch :mischief
October 27, 200519 yr Forces of Nature Twister The Day After Tomorrow (and obviously Spring Break Shark Attack) My actual recommendation is that you rent a good TV show.
October 27, 200519 yr Batman Begins Terminator 2 (the edition that comes in a chrome box) Saving Private Ryan Star Wars Trilogy Star Wars Prequels
October 27, 200519 yr Join Netflix! Otherwise, I'd recommend Scarface, Godfather 1&2, Better Off Dead, Blazing Saddles, and Caddyshack.
October 27, 200519 yr Garden State Anchorman Top Gun/ Hot Shots 24 First Season Star wars trilogy cant go wrong with those
October 27, 200519 yr Cannibal! The Musical (I don't know if it's sold at any regular video stores, I got my DVD from Half.com)
October 28, 200519 yr Author I honestly couldn't find too many modern movies I was truly interested in, so I bought about 25 DVD's from deepdiscountdvd.com most of them are either classics, war related, or historical documentaries... and damn the prices at deepdiscountDVD are DIRT CHEAP. Slap Shot Bridge on the River Kwai Guadalcanal Diary Heartbreak Ridge Sands of Iwo Jima The Last Samurai Colors of War: The Pacific Halls of Montezuma Heroes of Iwo Jima Best In Show The Wind and the Lion Rules of Engagement Enemy At The Gates Gung Ho To the Shores of Tripoli Fighting Marines War Zone: U.S. Marine Corps Kingdom of Heaven Marines at War (5 disc set) Wake Island The Big Lebowski Apocalypse Now Redux Uncommon Valor This probably would have cost me $700+ from a regular online store like bestbuy.com or something, but from deepdiscountDVD it was dirt cheap, most of the DVD's I bought were between only $5 and $10 but from a major online retailer they would have been $20+ each... and shipping was free. I even checked eBay before buying and eBay was more expensive, even for the bootleg copies eBay was charging more, I don't know how deepdiscountDVD can offer such ridiculously low prices.
October 29, 200519 yr Accord, a few more good historical/war movies: The Longest Day A Bridge Too Far El Cid
