Accord
In another move, Luis Dorante, the Marlins' bullpen coach this past season, has been offered the Double-A Carolina managing spot. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...t=.jsp&c_id=fla
butchy
Dorante wasnt even their first choice. Former Marlins bench coach Doud Davis was offered the job first. He turned it down to take the AA managerial job with the Toronto Blue Jays. ( new Hampshire) I know Dorante well as he managed Jupiter for a few years. He is going to struggle with double switches, pitchers hitting, bunting . etc.
