SonataArctica121
The Red Sox can't even stop their own players from going to the Yankees, I doubt they wil be as serious toward Glaus. I think he might go to the Jays, they are trying to contend and need more offence, they might make strong trades to get this guy, but the money left over might be somthing pretty hard to swallow. What the hell? As long as the asking price doesnt include Papelbon, Lester, or Marte...I'm good with making this deal. His defense at 3rd was good so I think he would be able to play 1st. Also the quote that he was unable to work on his upper body all last year and still put up good power numbers is appealing. His swing was always a dagger against us in Fenway with the Halos, I would love to see those tables reversed.
MrAndMrsFish
According to ESPN.com, it looks like Glaus is heading to Toronto for P Miguel Batista and INF Orlando Hudson
GiambiNYY25Fan
well now they might be able to fight with Boston for the wildcard
TSwift25
That'd be a heck of a move by the Jays.
Guest Moneyball
That'd be a heck of a move by the Jays. Yep. The Jays are officially ahead of anyone in the AL East not named Yankees.

ChambersWI
looks like a done deal (pending physicals) http://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article.jsp?co...223_164232_5304 QUOTE Pending a physical on Monday in Toronto, Troy Glaus will be introduced as the newest member of the Blue Jays during a scheduled press conference on Tuesday. Sportsnet.ca -- The Blue Jays have dealt relief pitcher Miguel Batista and second baseman Orlando Hudson to Arizona for third baseman Troy Glaus and a prospect, Sportsnet Baseball Insider Ken Rosenthal has confirmed. The principles of the deal were agreed upon early Friday, and confirmation came after Glaus waived his no-trade clause to Toronto. It is expected Glaus will become Toronto's everyday third baseman, with Corey Koskie assuming DH duties and Shea Hillenbrand likely being moved out of Toronto to alleviate the logjam at the position. MarlinFan10
The Jays have been aggresive this offseason. They can certainly compete with Boston next year and maybe even New York.
JetsMania
I hope the Blue Jays make some noise in the east. I am tired of the yankees and redsox just pounding everyone else in the division. I wonder if they are dont signing players. I wonder who the redsox will go after since the two guys that they were interested in just got traded or signed (millwood and glaus). ultimopain
The Red Sox should try and trade for "Former Red Sox great" Shea Hillenbrand!!!
Passion
Where is Glaus going to play? Koskie at 3rd. Hillenbrand at 3rd. Hinske at 3rd/DH Overbay at 1st. They gave up that much for a full time DH? Someone(s) has to be on the block now.
Guest Moneyball
I'm guessing Hinske or Koskie. Toronto's manager in one of the papers said he wants Shea in his line-up next year. Batista was going to be dealt for nothing anyways so I don't think they overpayed.
Iowa
Their defense takes a huge hit but I love the deal for Toronto... they finally get their power hitter and all they got rid of was a defensive second baseman and a reliever who makes starter money. Will be interesting to see what they do with Hinkse, Coskie and Hildenbrand.. obviously Shea has the most value.
QuickGold
Toronto made out here. Prolly more of a Delgado-like salary dump by Arizona
