No. 8 ? Resop makes ?The Show?

Resop, a 6-3, 220-pound right-hander, lettered in baseball and football at Collier, playing quarterback and winning All-State honors as an outfielder for the Cougars. He was recalled to the majors a second time, on Aug. 29, and a third time, on Sept. 10, when he won at Philadelphia. Resop also recorded a victory against the Braves on Oct. 1.

He appeared in 15 games for the Marlins and finished with an 8.47 ERA. He struck out 15 and walked nine in 17 innings, allowing 22 hits.

MarlinGuru:

Why is Resop not going to make it in the majors? When he got called up in the end of June he has just completed a year and a half pitching professionally....sounds to me like he has the right stuff once refined to have a pretty secure job in the future with MLB and in particular the Marlins....
