MrAndMrsFish
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ? (AP) ? Although his production dropped off from a sparkling sophomore season, Florida State linebacker Ernie Sims has decided to give up his senior year to enter the NFL draft. He is the second Florida State defender in as many weeks to announce plans to leave school early for the draft. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who missed the 2005 season with a knee injury, also said he's turning pro. A speedy, undersized junior ? listed at 6 foot and 220 pounds ? the 21-year-old Sims made 93 solo tackles in his three seasons, two as a starter. He finished fourth on the team with 20 solo stops this year, including two in Florida State's 26-23 Orange Bowl loss last week to Penn State. Sims also has been troubled with concussions, causing him to be held out of Florida State's game at Duke last October. He was one of the nation's most highly recruited high school players three years ago.
Fishfan79
sims will be 2-3 round pick so no surprise there. He will be a good solid 4-3 LB. Cromartie 3-5 rounds depending on his combine. I am curious how that will turn out for him, he was a good sophmore but missing this year really hurts. Plus injury questions and all.
