Guest ShaqandWade323
Jeff Garcia signed with the Eagles, good back up. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2369687 "While a few details still need to be addressed, the Philadelphia Eagles have reached a contract agreement in principle with unrestricted free agent quarterback Jeff Garcia, who arrived Wednesday for an official visit with coaches and team officials." wanks1212
Josh McCown signed with the Lions today, likely meaning Harrington is out of Detroit. Lions signed QB Josh McCown to a two-year, $6 million contract. Joey Harrington has to be on the way out of Detroit now. Signing McCown and Jon Kitna gives the Lions two mobile quarterbacks to compete for the starting job. The impending release or trade of Harrington will net the club $5.4 million in cap savings. Joe Gibbs
We're working on a possible deal with New York Jets DE John Abraham. This would be a great signing - our D-line needs some work. I'm very excited about our once-again revamped offense going into 2006.
Guest ShaqandWade323
Rumor is you're trading your first and second round pick this year and your first round pick next year for Abraham.
Dodge
Rumor is you're trading your first and second round pick this year and your first round pick next year for Abraham. I'm fairly certain the Skins have already traded some of those picks away but I could be wrong.
wanks1212
Yeah, Denver has the 'Skins first round pick this year. It was part of the deal to move up for Jason Campbell last year.

wanks1212
The Seahawks are going to match the Vikings offer sheet to Hutchinson. The Seahawks are expected to match Minnesota's offer sheet for Steve Hutchinson, but not match the provision that would fully guarantee the contract. It looks like this one is headed to arbitration. It's a complicated issue, but there is likely to be a legal battle about what matching the "Principle terms" of the contract means. In the meantime, both teams won't know how to construct their 2006 team or use their salary cap space. wanks1212
Crazy stupid. First they overpaid for Alexander (judging by the contract Edge got) and now they're paying all that money for a guard (albeit probably the best guard in the league). They'll still probably be good next year, but in a few years their cap is f*****
PhxPhin
actually it isn't the alexander deal is very fair - don't let the # of years fool you - for the next 4 years it's pretty much identical to james also, they are not going to match this if the contract is guaranteed - this is a big year 1 cap hit with some flexibility down the line - years 3-6 will be a bargain - even after the cap hit this year they will still have more than enough money to sign all their rookies, remaining FAs and then another guy or two they have one of the best contract guys in the league

Atlanta, KC and Washington are the rumors. They want Schaub and a 3rd supposedly but atlanta said no way (perhaps they realize he is a better QB then vick lol) as for Washington theydont have a 1st or 3rd this year. Fishfan79
Greg A. Bedard, of the Palm Beach Post, reports free agent LB Julian Peterson (49ers) is expected to visit the Miami Dolphins Monday, March 20. The Dolphins beat out the Browns, the Raiders and the Jets to get the services of versatile defensive back Renaldo Hill. Hill agreed to a three-year, $6 million contract with the Dolphins that included a $2 million signing bonus. For Hill, the Dolphins signing allows him to be reunited with Nick Saban, who recruited him out of high school to go Michigan State. He started for three years for Saban at Michigan State. Hill plays cornerback and safety, and he is probably going to help the Dolphins at the safety position. The Raiders used him as a cornerback-safety last year and at time, they used him as a linebacker in a 'Big Nickel' defense. He ended up with 89 tackles http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2371483 Dolphins | Peterson to visit Thu, 16 Mar 2006 14:08:14 -0800 Greg A. Guest ShaqandWade323
Great pickup in Campbell, he'll be a good 3rd reciever plus he knows the system and knows Daunte. Also I heard we might be resigning Frerotte as a backup.

Fishfan79
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/footbal...-dolphins-front good little article NFL network stated we are showing more interest in arrington, perhaps his price came down. I think Arrington is the primary and peterson is the backup plan to replace Junior. Either one would be a big time impact player if the price is right.
