Philadelphia Daily News (scroll down) (registration required): "The Marlins continue to consider adding a veteran second baseman to replace Pokey Wilson, who went AWOL for undisclosed reasons earlier in camp and had his contract voided. In addition to Phillies backup Tomas Perez, they are also reportedly looking at Boston's Tony Graffanino and Baltimore's Desi Relaford."

SIDE NOTE:

Couldn't get the link cause registration was required, but you know, whose Pokey Wilson, don't they mean Pokey Reese? LMAO

I wonder why don't they just focus on Uggla, I thought he was doing good.

hitting .217 with an OBP of .245 and SLG .326

Well if you wanna go by stats so far this spring that kid Miguel whats-his-face is batting .143 and everyone's rookie of the year is below the Mendoza line as well. That's why spring training stats aren't the be all and end all of player evaluation this time of the year.

They are proven. Uggla is not. He's also a liability on defense. I say we should definitely go after a veteran 2nd baseman.

How in the hell is Hermida proven? He's in the running for rookie of the year for a reason.
