Still digesting what I saw in the sweltering heat of Roger Dean Stadium today.

Vargas looked great for 3 innings then began losing that early game masterful control But, he stayed composed and hung-in nicely. He's in my rotation!

Who the hell is Carlos Martinez? He looked like a ready-to-go MLB pitcher.

Some sad relief appearances. Comes with the territory at this time of the year.

Jacobs looked strong at 1B. So did Stokes.

Cab's looked like he never missed a beat.

HanRam is overwhelming Andino's excellence.

Abercrombie is like the mystery man... that one guy in ST who shows the promise of magic.

And we pray for him!

Must finish digesting a long, hot, but exciting day.

it is spring training though.

i'm happy because we had some offense and we were hitting the ball well. granted I didn't see the whole game but 8 runs? i don't remember that ever happening in last year's spring training

Carlos Martinez is a 24 year old(in May) righthander who pitched just in A ball last year as their closer

throws low to mid 90s(topping out at 95)

went 4-5, 3.12era, 1.22 whip for Jupiter

got hit hard in his 1 appearance in AA, and 2 appearances in AAA

Based on what I saw on the ESPN broadcast, Cabs missed two pop ups that should've been his. Not that he dropped them- rather, they should've been his balls to catch instead of someone else looking foolish (Willy, Jacobs).

And Bowyer looks more like a thrower than a pitcher to me.

Absolutely.
