Guest Jack1
Hey Ramp...what did you write about Bump? I must have missed it. By the way...has he pitched at all lately? He's not hurt, is he? I've been busy and haven't been able to keep up on a lot of what is going on BUT I am happy that the Pirates beat those damn Phillies last night. Bump finished the game against the Mets the other day. He pitched the ninth inning.
Wild Card
I've always liked Blaine. He's definately got the stuff, which he showed us his rookie year. Let's just hope he can pitch like he did in 2002.
#1 FishFan
I'm guessing that Rick Helling will be pluged into Penny's rotation spot.
Wild Card
Pending the extent of Brad's injury.
flasportsfan88
Helling did a reel good job, and pennys can only miss 3 starts
Randy Rhoads
Blaine Neal grew up near me, so he's okay in my books. :thumbup
miami15
I love Blaine Neal! He will do great. He might pitch two innings more this season!
AJBurnett34
He has sucked a little this year but i remeber last year he was one of the best in our bullpen. I hope he can pitch like that this year. Our Bullpen is stacked already. I dont know why they called him up.

I hope he can pitch like that this year. Our Bullpen is stacked already. I dont know why they called him up. They brought him up (their season has been over for a week) for insurance, a piece of meat to be thrown out there at their whim. I'm sure he doesn't mind being meat, it's a chance of a lifetime to be part of what's going on. Penny on the fence means more work for Fox and Helling. Someone is needed to pitch their usual sixth or seventh and/or mop-up, long relief innings and its Neal.
flasportsfan88
what about phelps?? and olsen
Wild Card
long relief innings and its Neal. Blaine can't pitch more than 3 innings, and I'd be shocked if he could/if they let him go that many innings.
Guest Juanky
This is wise. Even if he isn't going to throw meaningful pitches (every pitch is meaningful now but w/e), having him to pitch in blowouts not having to waste another arm is great. It may raise his confidence as well, because I'm sure they're banking on him having a job in our pen next year.
