Nielsosky
Well, there wasn't much he could do to stop the Marlins' 6 run first inning.
Mave
yeah, i think people look into this type of stuff too much dont worry about it
Nielsosky
Anyway, if we smoke Ortiz and D-Train keeps rollin', there's nothing Wolf can do to stop us.
MarlinsFans46
Wolf is at first tonight.
CapeFish
So that means Wolf will be at the plate tomorrow. Doesn't that sound good? The guy has a conflict of interest, whether you, I or he likes it or not. Like Skip Caray said, "Blood is thicker than water."
DownRodeo
There have been 3 really close plays at first base in the past few innings (Castillo throwing out the runner at first after the bad throw to 2nd, Castillo beating out an infield hit, and Gonzo/Castillo turning a DP), and all of them went in the Marlins' favor. At what point do we say that maybe, just maybe, Wolf doesn't give a crap about helping out the Phillies?
Ramp
on this board.... never
#1 FishFan
How is this happening? This is a big conflict of interest! He should be designated strictly to American League games.
CapeFish
#1 fish Fan, I agree. Don't let there be a shadow of a doubt. But we shall have to live with it.
AJBurnett34
He should umpire other games other than the wildcard teams. Well they should if MLB wants to hear sarcasm....
CapeFish
No NL games for Wolf, it is that simple.
miami15
Wolf made one questionable call on AGon's amazing stop and double play attempt. I was at the game, and it did look like a swell call.
Ramp
it was a good call
KJC
just to give you guys an idea of how stupid Bud is, in the NFL David Boston the WR from SD and formerly of the Cardinals has a brother who is an official. Paul Tagliabu the comish of the NFL did the smart move BEFORE anything could get out of hand he makes sure Boston never Reff's a game when his borther is playing. Sound simple? DuH

DuH And MLB has done the same thing...Jim Wolf cant ump any games his brother pitches (Im not sure if its any Phillies games or just ones started by Wolf). If you want to use the correct analogy, should David Boston's brother not be able to ref any games played by the Broncos or Chiefs because theyre in the same division as the Chargers or should he not ref Bills games because they might be fighting for a wild card with the Chargers? KJC
Ross, you are correct. that seems to be the question and i know alot of people really want to make a big deal about it but Wolf did not do a bad job today and he should be comended on doing his job the right way.
