April 23, 200619 yr No doubt our OF is a work in progress. Expect Beinfest and Co. to make trades over the next couple of years to fill whatever voids we have on the team. Once Hermida comes back CF, 2B and the bullpen are the only glaring holes.
April 23, 200619 yr :plain I don't think we are that bad. Every great hitter/pitcher was a rookie at one time. You never know in 2 years these guys might be pretty good.

Defense up the middle is #1. We need a slick fielding 2nd baseman. Uggla won't be more than a utility IF and a nice bat off the bench.

None of them...they have worked hard to get where they are. Sure, a lot of them probably weren't ready for the BIG SHOW but this is what Loria and Co. decided to do. I really get sick of the name calling that goes on in this forum. The truth is that NONE of us really know what it takes to be a ballplayer. It's a lot of hard work. Time away from their families, wives and children. Yes, they knew that when they signed those contracts. They all LOVE to play the game and try to do their best. NONE of them want to do bad. They all want to succeed and they want the Marlins to succeed. AND they were ALL outstanding ballplayers at one time or they could NEVER have made it this far. Lighten up and let's cheer for all of them and not just when they perform well. It's when they're down that they need our confidence. Go MARLINS!!

April 24, 200619 yr I understand that our roster is not set as we like it to be...but We ARE building for the future...The product is fun to watch!. To be honest I had my doubts about Willy but he is gonna be a good player for a long time ...same as Hermida...Yes CF is still a concern Don't give up on Abercrombie just yet, he has so many thimgs going for him...I am also hearing incredible things aboit Campusano down in the minors We should be seeing him very soon...Maybe Reed should have another stint in Triple A to settle himself...I believe he has talent...We have plenty of time to put this team together
