The Cubs have ten games left (whereas we have 12), all against Pittsburgh and Cincy.

that's what we said when we played pittsburgh. Things didn't turn out like we thought though.

I was afraid this was going to be another "not fair" deal. There's not a stupider complaint in baseball then the unfair schedule complaint. I saw a Phillies fan post on ESPN.com a few days ago talking about how unfair it is that we close with the Mets while they meet the Braves, like it doesn't all even out in the end.

 

As for them having 10 games instead of 12 left, I think that's a good thing. That means we can win 2 more games than them down the stretch.

 

And, as far as I'm concerned, it's the Fish's job to make all this irrelevant. We've got the lead, if we give it away, we have nobody else to blame.

Oh, I'm well aware, just wanted to say my piece anyway. Wanted to get it off my chest.

A) Pittsburgh, for whatever reason, is no joke...

 

B) Houston's schedule isn't nearly as easy

 

C) Both of those teams need to go like 9-2 or some such thing if either is to win the WC.

The cubs are right behind our backs. If the Phillies and the Marlins keep losing it will be very close come October.
