Junior
Nationals optioned outfielder Ryan Church to Double-A Harrisburg. Church, who got off to a great start after being recalled in April, had been 4-for-24 since returning from flu-like symptoms earlier this month. He's still the Nationals' best option in center field, and there's a good chance he'll be back soon after he regains his swing. A better team would have given him a little more of an opportunity to work through his problems in the majors. The Nationals will go with Marlon Byrd and Alex Escobar in center for now. May. 19 - 11:36 pm et Are they trying to ruin the kid?
marlinz_fan
Strange to send him to AA and not AAA. Glad we have better management.
CYmarlins
Alex Escobar still plays?? DAMNN that guy has talentttttt. Byrd is also a good option for them but Church has good pop and can play some CF. the Nationals keep sending him down they might as well trade him away, guy like that will be picked up quickly. Hotcorner
apparently they really don't like him.
Guest FishFanInPA
Actually the reason why they sent him to Harrisburg is because it's closer then their AAA affiliate in New Orleans...They want him to come back up soon so he's closer for easier travel.
