pierremvp1
Anybody know what the rain situation is for today's game?
Hollyberry
Slippy day Why exactly is the stadium?
pierremvp1
The stadium is right around where that yellow-red area is just under the N in New York Hope the old-timers don't catch pneumonia.
Hollyberry
:plain http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast...99&avg_off=9999 Tarp is on but people are sitting in their seats so that is a good sign.

Hollyberry
They can also delay the game a few hours. Its still early in the day.
tealmarlin
Hope-fully it will past by game-time, if not, maybe it will only be delayed by a couple of hours.
RossInfoMan
The tarp is being removed as we speak. The tarp is being put back on the field as we speak.

Marlins Troll
Can lightning strike one of our player?
pierremvp1
I'd hate to see JJ's game get ruined by a long rain delay once the game starts. I'd prefer a doubleheader tomorrow over that.
Hollyberry
That HUGE line of thunderstorms needs to head east. If it does then we are fine :thumbup .
Marlins Troll
That HUGE line of thunderstorms needs to head east. If it does then we are fine :thumbup . Well right now seem like a good time to train Reggie in the outfield. Catching fly balls in the wet field. Throw some rock all over the outfield so Reggie learn not to trip while catching those flyball. Right in the middle of open space where an active thunderstorm is passing by so Reggie can conquer his fear.
JetsMania
Maybe they will move this game to later in the year rather than a double header tomorrow
Lefty
Is it definitely getting postponed?
TheDon
Maybe they will move this game to later in the year rather than a double header tomorrow Or it will never get played like the last time the Marlins and Spankees met in the regular season. JetsMania
It would be cool if later in the year when they are at the mets play them first at 1 and the yankees at 8pm.
Hollyberry
Is it definitely getting postponed? Hard to tell but to me it looks like the storms will be gone sometime soon. Looks like the line of storms is heading more east.

tealmarlin
I really dont think the marlins are going to play today, I belive the front is stalled, that means lots of rain over the same area for a while. I really, really hope thats not the case though.

Hollyberry
Guys I think we have another hour. http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast...317&lightning=0 Its looking bad now but after this line there is really nothing.
pierremvp1
This is a lousy situation. We're competing more to finish over .400 rather than making the playoffs....but still....beating the Yankees is a highlight of a season like this. I'd much rather face them in nice weather in June with a hot and healthy JJ and Willis...instead of later in the year...with different pitchers.
