I'm sure he hasn't changed his mind either. The problem is right field is the star position. Sosa, Bonds, Walker, Sheffield, etc. He's not an All-Star but he's sure as hell good enough for me.

Sheff is better in LF. Walker sucks this year so dont count him. Sosa is hiting .268 w/ 98 RBI. ENC is actually better than most RF. only big names are better than him. Oh and RF doesnt have to be the star position.

lol someone actually said something like that.

I'm glad he's starting to get hot right before the playoffs, but offensively, he is one of the worst right fielders in baseball. There's just no getting around it. Among right fielders, he ranks near the bottom in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and home runs. The only major offensive category he's above average in is RBI, a team-dependent stat. Two solid games does not erase a season's worth of numbers. Hey, I hope he catches fire and carries the team through the playoffs. But it won't change the fact that he had a very below average season for a right fielder.

Dangit. No one ever remembers that I'm one too. Haha.

Seriously, Enc has more RBIs in more games, and batting 5th (behind #3 Pudge, and #4 Lowell).

Enc's RISP w/2 outs? .319? What is the sample size? 40 ABs? (just a guess, my internet is slow right now, and I dont wanna take forever to check the stats).

Who started out batting 3rd or clean up and even took some cuts as the 5th batter at beginning of the season?

Oh that right Lee...What was the reason that Lee was moved down the batting order? :mischief2

Yo are arguing that Enc is a better player because hes more clutch when I dont even beleive in clutchi hitters. So whats your point? This argument is silly anyway. You knew I wasnt going to totally flip my opinion because of 3 games and Im happy Juan Enc is tearing the cover off the ball. (he could have hit 4 homers in game2 in a meduim depth park)

Gator pm me your e-mail.

Here, for you stat-zombies, Enc has more total bases than Bobby Abreu this year. And he's not far behind Lance Berkman, and even Chipper Jones. All with comparable at-bat numbers. A totally independent stat. Happy?

The thing that holds his stats back is his low walk count. That leads to low on-base %, and thus a lower OPS. It's an odd phenomenon really, that guys like DLee who seem to be more selective & more disciplined at the plate walk a lot more, yet still have big K numbers. While Enc doesn't really walk OR strike out a ton.
